Virtually Local Improv

While we’re all sheltering in place, we can still energize ourselves and connect with others. Play lively drama games that release your confidence, playfulness, spontaneity, and creativity. With fun people who love to laugh, surprise yourself as you collectively create stories off the top of your head, and learn to embrace mistakes. This isn’t stand-up and you don’t have to think of jokes on the spot: we use the truth of the moment to create humor. Enjoy a supportive environment that promotes cooperation and positive thinking. Shy and curious people are welcome (and are free to just watch), and no experience is needed. Those with experience I’ll challenge with stretch goals. This class is free and open to adults (18+). To prepare your computer or phone for this class, please read the Online Improv Preparation page.

The class happens Sundays, 2p – 4p PDT. Please email me at for the Zoom meeting link. If that time doesn’t work for you, let me know the times that do, so I know the times to consider for future classes. Please share your availability using this link, and select all the two-hour blocks when you are available. I set up potential time slots on all the days from Sunday, May 31 through Sunday, June 7, but the scheduler web-app only shows a few days at once. To see the later days and time slots, tap/click on the text that looks like this:

< Before May 31     After June 4 >

After you’ve submitted your availability on the website, send an email to with the subject “Available times submitted”. I’ll email you back if there’s an additional class that fits your availability.

I’m looking forward to sharing a fun and imaginative class with you 🙂
